L’Aue in Tokyo

After returning from Mount Fuji, where we participated in the marathon, we headed to Tokyo to indulge our cravings for delicious and healthy food by exploring a variety of restaurants. One notable place was L’Aue, which came highly recommended by a friend. My experience there was truly exceptional.

Typically, I’m not a big fan of Michelin-recommended restaurants; I’ve tried a few in the past and often left feeling disappointed. However, L’Aue proved to be a pleasant surprise! From the stunning presentation of each dish to the attentive service, the beautiful design, and the lively kitchen atmosphere, everything was remarkable. The talented chef, Takamitsu Shimizu, is not only a culinary genius but also a genuinely kind person. Despite his fame and expertise, he remains humble, approachable, and always available to his customers.

In this short video, I want to give you a glimpse of the restaurant’s dishes and the wonderful ambiance it offers. The wine selection was incredible— we tasted 6-7 bottles! Though I may have indulged a bit too much, I left with a joyful smile and a sense of culinary satisfaction.

The entire experience recharged my soul, and I’m certain I’ll return to L’Aue the next time I’m in Tokyo with friends.
